The Project
What is Espais de Vida?
Espais de Vida is a citizen-led initiative to create a foundation that receives land, housing, or unused spaces to be dedicated to social housing, regenerative agriculture, and cultural projects. Inspired by the Edith Maryon Foundation (Switzerland), we propose a replicable model that removes properties from the speculative market and returns them to the common good.
Why the Balearic Islands?

Our Approach
We explore various strategies to ensure sustainable housing and spaces for the entire population:
· Social housing bank.

· Intergenerational programs.
· Temporary housing for essential workers.
· Participatory financing.

At Espais de Vida, we seek farmland that can be donated or granted for use in agroecological projects with social impact. We care for the land as a common good, support the settlement of new farmers, and ensure these spaces remain alive for generations to come.
